Alive + The Counseling Center
This Saturday, Nov. 21, the Alive Campaign - Ball State Chapter and the Ball State Counseling Center are teaming up to commemorate the 11th Annual Survivor's of Suicide Day.
Some of the Alive Campaign Directors and members will be participating in a panel discussion on the topics of suicide and depression.
We would really appreciate you all coming out to support us and ask questions. We also hope to have a live Web cast of the discussion but we will have more details about that later.
Alive gets a Facebook Page
In order to improve communication between Alive Campaign Ball State Chapter members and other Ball State Students, the Alive Campaign has launched a Facebook page.
The page allows us to continue the discussion about suicide and depression in a public setting and to share information regarding current events involving suicide and upcoming Alive Campaign Ball State Chapter events.
We invite you to make use of the new page. Feel free to post videos, poems, positive thoughts, stories, personal testimonies, links to important Web sites we might have missed, pictures, etc. This should be YOUR page because this organization is about keeping you ALIVE.

ALIVE Rally
This coming Saturday, the Alive Campaign is hosting its biggest event yet: the ALIVE Rally. This will be held in Pruis Hall at 7pm Saturday Sept. 26, 2009.
The ALIVE Rally is part of the vision we began to set forth last semester. We want to engage our campus in a discussion about the ramifications of suicide and the real mess depression is creating in our society and the lives of the ones we hold dear.
The Rally is a chance to start that discussion, but its not the only part of the discussion. This is something we hope will be ongoing until real solutions begin to present themselves and real actions can be taken. We want to see a positive change, not just in the way the media discusses the topic (when it discusses it at all) but in the way people live their day to day lives.
So show up Saturday and help us. It's time to fight back, TOGETHER!
